Meet Radek
Ever since I was a child, there has been one constant in my life.
While other kids collected toys, I collected books — all on a single subject. Recently, I found the pre-school papers my mother filled in when I was barely a year old. One question asked: “What does the child like?”
Her answer has followed me into every chapter of my life: “He likes dogs.”
I grew up in a family without dogs, yet my world revolved around them. I memorised every breed, devoured every magazine, every book I could find. I still remember the layout of certain pages — as if they imprinted themselves onto me. Passion came naturally; curiosity was my native language.
When I was fifteen, we finally welcomed our first dog — a veteran Lhasa Apso boy. Taking him to dog shows opened a whole new universe. And with it, the realisation that I knew so little. That early curiosity became my compass. I spent my summers working for handlers and breeders as a kennel boy, learning everything about dogs, movement, structure, grooming, and the culture of dog shows.

Professionally, my path led me into journalism. I became a TV reporter — a world of stories, pressure, deadlines, and people. It taught me how minds work under stress, what confidence looks like, and how quickly it can disappear.
Years later, I felt a pull toward something more internal, more transformative. I began studying cognitive-behavioural hypnotherapy in the UK, and in 2024, I became a licensed hypnotherapist. Today, I help people build confidence, quiet anxiety, and find inner stability.
But a part of me always dreamed of bringing these two worlds together.
And then something clicked.
In dog shows, we train the dog endlessly — but rarely the mind of the handler. We polish the coat, practise movement, work on our handling skills… yet the most decisive part of the performance is often the one most neglected.
If the mind collapses, everything collapses.
This realisation became the beginning of Dog Show Mind — a project that brings together the two aspects of my life I care about most: dogs and the human mind. It’s a new chapter, built on years of experience, study, and genuine love for this sport.
My Mission
To help handlers unlock their full potential by strengthening the most important skill in the ring: the mind.
My Values
I believe in fairness, community, kindness, and the deep bond between dog and human.
I believe confidence is learned, not inherited.
And I believe the dog world becomes better when people feel supported rather than judged.
What Makes My Work Unique
My approach blends:
- cognitive-behavioural hypnotherapy,
- mindset coaching,
- and lifelong dog-show experience.
It’s where science meets intuition. Where psychology meets the partnership between dog and handler.
A More Personal Note
Outside of my work, you’ll often find me near a show ring, travelling with friends, or enjoying the company of my Lhasa Apsos. I still show dogs for people I care about, and the joy of this world continues to inspire everything I create.
A Beginning
Dog Show Mind is a new project — but the foundation beneath it has been growing for decades.
If you feel called to grow, to handle with more confidence, calmness, and clarity, I’m here to guide you.
Together, we can discover what you and your dog are truly capable of.
Thank you for reading my story.
